Story

Jared grew up in “Music City USA”, aka Nashville, TN. Music and art are in his blood. He’s referred to as “a bearded zen warrior” by those that know him best. He’s a published author, brand artist, philosopher, and social activist who’s read The Art of War somewhere around 432 times.

Jared spent many years operating as Creative Director of the Nashville based private equity firm, The Incubator Group. He founded and operated a luxury fashion label in East Africa called KEZA and continues to be heavily involved in the African fashion scene. Over the decades, he’s consulted and volunteered for movements such as American Indian Movement, D.A.T.A, ONE Campaign, Keep a Child Alive, Freedom House, Genocide Intervention Fund, International Justice Mission and the governments of Nigeria, Rwanda and Kenya.

He’s a frequent speaker on the issues of Gender Based Violence, ant-trafficking and development in Africa. First and foremost, Jared is an activist. But he believes the nuance and strategy of branding and storytelling is also his greatest asset to contributing to a more egalitarian society.

He has extensive experience in branding, marketing, copy writing, business development, digital media, and production of music, fashion and film. He’s lived and worked in East Africa since early 2006 and is currently embarking on a new journey in Brazil.
