As a self-taught artist, Kenita enjoys working with unconventional materials and exploring new avenues of unleashing her creative expression. She appreciates the beauty of collaboration and the challenges of working in ever evolving work environments. Over the years, she’s collaborated with fashion, graphic and interior designers, filmmakers and editors to gain experience in a myriad of design methods.
In an effort to avoid the ever pervasive “starving artist” syndrome, she attended the University of Nairobi to study commerce and finance. She gained valuable experience through diving headlong into working relationships with individuals and institutions that shared her passion for creating remarkable art. She even dabbled in the business development arena as she helped others create businesses out of their creative drive. Ultimately this habit brought her to Let_it_grow.
Kenita is the undisputed world champion of the renowned Las Vegas based “Two Left Feet Dance Competition”. She’s an avid blogger that contributes to a number of various creative blogs. She’s also actively involved in Rotaract, a dynamic organization of committed young professionals determined to make a positive impact on our global society.
